Tales of Courage, a Brave Little Dog: Courage Comes Home

Courage is a very brave little dog, who most certainly lives up to his name. He and his mommy lived on different sides of the world, but they found each because they were meant to come together as a family. Courage calls his mommy 'Mumma', and Mumma found Courage when she moved to Australia from Washington State, with her work. Mumma was very lonely in Australia, but then she saw Courage in a pet store window. Courage was the last little puppy, who looked as sad as lonely as she felt, and Mumma knew they were meant for each other. Together, they discover unconditional love and loyalty, and the joys of sharing a life together. Based on the true adventures of Courage's life, this is the first in a series of books that chronicle his remarkable story. Book one tells us about Courage's first ten months. We hear about his first home in Australia and all the new things he learns, and the funny and brave things he does. We hear about his rivalry with some mischievous birds who keep trying to steal his food, his never-ending attempts to catch the little lizards who sun themselves in the yard, and how he learns to make friends, and camp and hike. Then we find out about his move from Australia back to Washington State, which will be his forever home with Mumma. Throughout the series, children and adults alike will grow to love Courage, as they experience his wonderful adventures, and most importantly learn that bravery has nothing to do with size.
