From the Ashes of Deir Yassin

From the Ashes of Deir Yassin tells the story of WALID, a young man who grows up in Nablus, a city in the West Bank under Palestinian rule. He reluctantly becomes involved with a militant group and is driven to commit an unforgivable act. The image of a woman, a survivor of his attack, haunts Walid unrelentingly leading him to question all he knows to be true. 


The realities of the Middle East are seen through the eyes of a Muslim man and a Jewish settler. It is not a love story, but a story about human emotions, and the unpredictable reactions to life’s truths as they become apparent.
