Many books have been written on church polity; however, this 17th century work is one of the classics among many other excellent treatises. This was the combined work of the Westminster Assembly, published in a climate that did not encourage such free-thinking and biblical ideas. it was, indeed, radical enough to require some anonymity of authorship. Jus Divinum remains one of the best reasoned and most scriptural works on church government. For any interested in what God's revealed Word says about church structure, this is essential reading.
