Claudia awoke and made an umpteenth trip to the bathroom and the kitchen. Insomnia seemed to be her best friend now-a-days. Looking out the window she made another wish on the star she saw. Will her prayers ever be answered? She hated the fact that she knew the answers before the lies started. The hours between midnight and eight were slowly taking her strength and definitely taking a toll on her daylight life. She first became aware of the problem about five years ago. Seeing things out of the corner of her eye made her mindful that someone or something was keeping a close eye on her between those hours. Finally materializing just to her, her Dad, who had passed six years ago, had decided not to move on in the glorious afterworld until he was sure she would be okay since he left her behind. He had been strongly against her marriage to Ben and had been very vocal about it. Knowing that her marriage was sour, he was here, with her, watching and protecting.
