Meeting Pete

Have you ever almost not done something because you were scared? Afraid someone might be there that would ruin it for you or you'd get in your head and have a horrible time? I have.

When I saw Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy was signing books at a local bookstore, I debated whether or not to go. I have a tendency to be shy and stand out like a sore thumb nailed by a hammer. And besides my favorite TV show would be on. I'd have to miss it in order to see him. That's when I realized I needed to change.

I called upon my competitive nature. It was me vs. me and me vs. the former emo kids. I did mental and emotional two-a-day's to ready myself so I wouldn't get in my own way.
