In 2263 The League of the Waking Night lost their hold over the Nexus, uniting the the two worlds of Earth and Favlas along the barrier of Light and Magic. The upheaval became known as The Pause, a moment in time, when when every Race and creature on two worlds, stopped and watched their lives change forever.
For sixteen-year-old Amelia Solstice, born into the peace after the Pause, and with the Nexus imparting its magical energy to Earth, she belongs to an Earth of both Science and Summoning. Where her best friend can Shift into the form of a Lion, she is taught to dance by Elves and another world is only a passport away.
But unfriendly eyes have Solstice marked for something other than her dream of veterinary college.
As an unwitting casualty in a political project she finds herself dumped on Favlas, only to discover that the magic she never knew she had had been twisted awake and she has been chosen to become an Eternal Hero; a Ranger of Favlas.
Now suck on Favlas she has to learn to manage her new identity and her magic if she ever wants to get home.
