Description
As the author of a very successful series of books on the pencil drawing technique I developed called EXTREME REALISM, I have at times made even more discoveries in the realm of what is known as extremely realistic drawing. I will share these with you, the reader, in this latest addition to my writings.
When I published my actual 'lecture notes', I did not put in some of those discoveries that I had only recently made. This was mainly due to the fact that I had not taught yet these things in my classes. I felt that the actual lecture notes themselves were 'heavy' enough to absorb on their own. I did not want to confuse the issue further.
But now that I have had time to codify these recent discoveries, and to actually try them out in front of some classrooms, I am now ready to discuss them with you.
We shall discuss using the artwork of others to get what you want out of your own work. We will figure out the tricks of several well-known artists and learn the secrets of trying to imitate that they do in order to get similar results.
We shall learn how it was exactly that I came to understand how to draw confidently every time, and not feel like that it was just this once time thing that I was 'trying' to do.
We shall learn how to manipulate light sources, and create realities that cold not possibly be, yet create a thing of such realistic beauty that no one complains.
We shall learn how not to waste time on parts of a drawing that can be successfully implied, and then ignored.
And finally, we shall learn how to break the rules in order to get exactly what you want from a project.
