Shoestring's Grand Tour

I wanted to write about 'you and me' - the ordinary suburban City dwellers. I was fed up with reading 'celebrity' travel and lifestyle books about properties and destinations that are either unattainable or totally impracticable due to lack of funds. So instead, let me tell you about our life and how we managed to buy a very inexpensive 'Place in France' and from there go on to tour France and Italy. A tight budget means using inexpensive Hotel Chains and staying in Mobile Homes, but we still manage to combine our interests in classic cars, wild birds, history, caravans, good food , wine and Formula 1 motor racing.....with a bit of humour, memoir and a few Shoestring observations thrown in......
