Planning a (BIG) Data Implementation

This book is an introduction to big data and analytics. It provides a framework to plan a big data implementation and briefly talks about the available tools and technology. There is also a short discussion on how to think about return of investment. This book is based on various articles, research papers and other publicly available material. I collectively owe the various authors my deep appreciation and sincere thanks. My effort has largely been to condense the information and provide it as an introduction – a starting point.

About the author -
Subu is an avid technologist and has over fifteen years of experience in databases, data analysis, data warehouse and business intelligence. Subu's credentials include architecture, design and development of many different data warehouse initiatives in various industries and government agencies. He is also an accomplished programmer in many different languages and environments.
