📖 Description
The discussion of three themes should occur the implications of which pertain to the practice and science of industrial/organizational (I/O) psychology. These three themes involve a growing need to increase the application within organization practices of valid psychologically-based human resources management (HRM), the impact on organizational behavior of work context, and the necessity to increase the implementation of change among the nature of work. The changes discussed pertain to the world of work just prior to the year 2000. The conclusion will be these arising changes to act as a representation of both opportunities and challenges for I/O psychology. At this time practice and research among I/O psychology would be yet to speak of such trends, yet at the same time continues to be the most equipped of disciplines to address these issues.
