Out the Other Side

Christina Maury’s only goal in life is to get out of her mother’s house. College presents just such an opportunity, and she begins her freshman year with little direction beyond freedom. Her independence comes at a price, however, as her lifelong best friend Brian Humboldt chose a different path, opting to chase his own dreams half a continent and two time zones away. From the outside, Christina’s choice was reasonable and prudent while Brian’s was risky and impulsive, yet Brian’s new life is unfolding richer and more vibrant than Christina’s.

As Brian and Christna drift apart, Christina finds comfort in an unhealthy relationship with fraternity brother Phillip Randalson. Despite warnings from concerned friends, she allows the relationship to progress until Phillip's actions plunge her into unshakable depression. She knows Brian is the only one who can pull her back from the brink of despair. But does he still care enough to want to help her?
