Grinding More Gears: Software Repackaging for World Domination

This entire document is predicated on two questions: "Why do we bother with packaging or repackaging software?”, and "What do the terms ‘packaging’ and ‘repackaging’ really mean?”

Typically, we (geeks) bother with packaging and repackaging because it’s in our contracts to do so. Beyond that, we do it because it pays pretty well. And beyond that, we do it because it’s interesting and challenging enough to make us forget that we have not yet won a sizeable lottery pay-out.
