The Dark Prophecy (Princes of Hell Book 1)

I keep telling myself three things.

One. I’ll never let these demons get to me again. They may be sinfully handsome bad-boys, but I can’t ever forget that they are also immortal beasts with incredible abilities. They manipulate, they seduce, they lie and cheat and kill without mercy. They stop at nothing to get what they want. Unfortunately, what they want may just be me.

Two. Sacrifices are sometimes needed for the greater good. I’d like to believe the things I’ve done have been justified, but so far all I’ve done is disobey my commander, scare off my best friend, and invite the attentions of three very dangerous immortals. I’ve put myself and this mission at risk.

Three. Everything will go back to normal when this is all over. What a glorious dream. To capture the bad guy, save the innocent human, and return to my former position guarding mortals. Us angels head off in one direction, the demons in another, and we never cross paths again. If only it were that simple. If only it were black and white, good and evil, and a thirty foot cement wall in between us.

But it’s not. The waters are murky and deep. Three angels and three demons are now wrapped up together in a mission to capture Voracitas, a Prince of Hell, and save a human, a Prophet of the Light. We are faithful enemies and immortal rivals working under an uneasy truce that cannot last.

What does Fate hold for us? For me? I simply cannot imagine.
