Assassin's Mace, is outside of Red Storm Rising the best Fictional War Book, I've read. Although I am new to this typical genre of the fanatical WW3 scenarios. This book keeps you grounded in reality, while dipping into the future technology that so many experts believe we are working on. Although a lot of his ideas for future military hardware are a very exciting part to add to this book, they do seem very far fetched.
As far as the reading aspect of this book, it is very exciting and very hard to put down. I alone finished it in less than 8hrs. I think it would have been ever greater had he decided to get a little more into the ground wars going on across the globe, instead of the complete description of almost every square inch of our secret facilities.
In all I think this book is a most read for WW3 fanatics like myself. It opens your eyes to a whole other side of what future wars will be like that is not shown and advertised on American or any TV for the that matter.
