At first glance these things may all seem unrelated, but to me, they encompass experiences I have had around the world that have led to my discovery of other cultures; but more importantly of myself.
When I took my first flight, I had a new dream – to see the world. I wished for relatives abroad and adventure that could give me the chance to see the world. That’s a dream that many have. But leaving comfort and familiarity behind is never easy.
Yet, I did.
I didn't lose comfort, or relationships. My comfort zone grew as did my relationships. And I discovered adventure and brand new things, each of which makes for a new memory. I saw that laughter, joy, sorrow, and pain – there’s a little bit of everything in every part of this world. There are things that even New York, one of the world’s greatest metropolis, and Ghana in Africa share. These are things that go beyond the surface, things that go as deep as the bone of every individual – things that are alike in the strangest manner.
This is the tale of how I discovered those things – how I found similarities in the most dissimilar places and differences in the most similar places.
This is the story of how, through these travels, I lost myself only to find myself like never before.
