Miriam - The Highs and Lows

Like her better-known sibling Moses, Miriam shared in the epic events which saw the birth of Israel as a nation (more than 1300 years before Christ). In April, as we share Miriam's journey, we will consider the challenges she encountered and the amazing victories she experienced. Throughout the many highs and lows of her life, Miriam displayed boldness and strength of character, although she was by no means infallible and we see clearly her failings at times. Miriam was certainly the 'good woman' behind Moses. We will see that although we may not have the musical and leadership abilities which Miriam had we certainly have a calling to worship the Lord from the depth of our hearts and to be a godly influence on the lives of those around us.
