Kurt offers his boss Ian a deal when Ian needs a date for a corporate event. Knowing his fiance will be safe at the opera, Kurt intends to let Ian take her in return for a shot at a lucrative advertising contract.

Ian, boss and also friend to Kurt, agrees to give Kurt a shot at the contract. He is confounded when the normally solid Kurt creates a disaster that loses their firm the account. Impressed by Lisa, Kurt's fiance, he resists pressure from corporate headquarters to fire Kurt. Instead he offers a deal: Lisa escorts him to the functions until he can replace his divorcing wife, and Kurt can keep his job.

Amidst their deal, Kurt is conflicted with the desire for his fiance to be pleasing to Ian, and the fear of becoming a cuckold. Kurt will face his own fears, finding much about himself in the process, and also discovering things about his fiance and his friend that he had never considered. The culmination of their wedding night is all about love.
