The Wooden Heart: A Pinocchio Story by CJ Draden.

Ive chosen to adapt the original Pinocchio tale because of the interconnectedness I felt with the Gepetto characters life and that of mine own. This is not a re-imagining of the original story, this is a representation of what the Pinocchio tale meant to me and how I felt it related to my life experiences and life in general. This is a story wrought with tragedy, driven by madness and ends in the act of creating life. Anyone that has endured a significant amount of pain from loss of life will be able to connect to my main character Salvatore. I hope you enjoy this very dark embodiment of Pinocchio I refer to as "The Wooden Heart". -CJ Draden
