Church Growth Deal Breakers - Five Mistakes Leadership Can't Afford To Make

Being in full time ministry for almost twenty five years, there is nothing that breaks my heart more than to see a church struggling to stay afloat. I’ve seen so many pastors who are trying to grow their church, and just seem to be spinning their wheels. They are teaching sound biblical truths, and they have a heart that is sold out to ministry, but the church still doesn’t grow; the finances are low and they struggle to get results. The other side of this is the affect it has on their families. So often the struggle is transferred into every area of their lives. It will affect their marriage, their kids, and their friendships. Too many pastors are leaving the ministry out of frustration and abandoning the calling on their lives, because of a church failure.
I wrote Church Growth Deal Breakers to help pastors through these times of struggle. The days where a pastor’s responsibilities are to marry, bury, and give a message are long gone. We need to understand how to effectively communicate a Godly word to a world that is being drawn in a thousand, un-Godly, directions. We also need to do this without compromising the Word of God or milking it down to where it’s of no affect. Whew!
