📖 Description
Peter Franks is a kind and gentle old Jesuit priest. He has been involved numerous volunteer missions around the world during his forty-plus years with the Society of Jesus. However, when in Nigeria, he is captured during an attack by Islamic terrorists, his peaceful service could come to an abrupt and bloody end.
Thousands of miles away, Michael Spencer is struggling with adjusting to his newly found civilian life. A former Army Ranger and Green Beret, Spencer spent the last decade of his life either training for combat or participating in it. When the news reaches him that his old friend Peter has been captured, Spencer begins to investigate on behalf of Peter’s niece, Kelly. He simply wants to find out what’s going on to set the women’s mind at ease.
Using his old contacts and back channel sources, Spencer pieces together the puzzle that leads him to conclude that he, and a group of his military comrades may be the old priest’s only hope. But how long can Peter hold out for? Can they reach him before he out lives his usefulness to his captors?
