Becky is a strong willed woman with the ability to see things others can’t. To know what is going to happen or to be able to tell if there is something going on behind closed doors. Like someone trying to prepare a surprise attack and that was why she was working for the world government. They needed her ability during the war with Dark Star.
As an orphan Becky found it very helpful to be able to see in her mind if someone was coming around the corner with grocery sacks full of food or even if they had cash in their pockets. She never took more than she needed, an apple out of the bag or a sandwich or even just a five dollar bill, she was a expert at it until the day she pick pocketed a government agent. Rand also had special abilities only his was reading minds and unknown to Becky part of His job was to find others with special abilities to work for the government. It was a secret government agency and it was speculated by many they would get someone to work for them even if they didn’t want to use their abilities for the government. So after kidnapping her, the agency finally convinced her to come to work for the government. After months of being together every day Becky and Rand slowly started to like each other and eventually fell in love and married.
Rand loved Becky very much until the day something went terribly wrong while Becky and his best friend were on assignment and his friend was killed. Overcome with grief he blamed Becky. Unable to handle what had happened she went to live by herself on a mountain.
Unknown to Becky she was being watched by the Prince of Dark Star, the world Earth was at war with just a few short months earlier. She was just happy to be alone again and never wanted to be around her friends or husband again. But Niles searched high and low during the war with Earth to find the chosen one that the Book of Prophecy talked about. He knew kidnapping her could cause another war but he found he had no other choice. They needed her to fulfill the prophecy no matter how it ended for him. Falling in love with her was just something he’d have to deal with once he had her aboard his spaceship.
After six months Rand realized there was nothing he could do to quit loving Becky. His love for her was driving him crazy. Finding her on the mountain he finally talked her into trying to reconcile their marriage when she disappeared right in front of him. Right then and there he decided he would hunt for her until the end of time. Even if it meant searching the whole universe He would find his wife again. And heaven help the person who took her.
