The Lighted Marketplace: A novel

After spending much of his life avoiding involvement in the plight of other people, a retired optometrist must face the consequences for his own future of having witnessed an accidental death at close hand. He finds that the choices that he took for granted earlier in his life have narrowed and that he must now take into fuller account the lives and loves of those closest to him.
