From Turmoil to Peace: Self-Discovery and God's Everlasting Love

This is a story about a woman named Amy who grew up with emotional and physical abuse. Her marriage further deteriorated what little self esteem she had retained from her childhood. She raised three sons alone who have grown up having positive self esteem and who have acknowledged that God lives within them.
This book has been written primarily for the person who has never been told that they can have a personal relationship with God. It is to give hope to all the women who live with emotional and physical abuse.
Anyone who takes the time to seek God will find Him. He is alive today and waiting for whoever will hear His call. God has given us instructions on how we are to live life. All those who live by God s word will have Jesus in their hearts and their lives will be in God s hands.
There are many self help programs that are based on recovery through trust in a Higher Power. That Higher Power is God. Many people have overcome their scars of life in these programs. Those who have recovered from these programs stay to help those who reach out for help themselves. I encourage all those reading this book that are effected by alcoholism or abuse to get the help they need through these programs.
The stories that I have written in the following pages are those that I have personally dealt with in my own life. All the stories in this book are real, but names have been altered to preserve the privacy of the individuals involved.
