A private pilot gains a license to learn as he joins a small fraternity with wings. A pilot-in-command is alone on his path of manhood as a young warrior seeking the right to go wherever his heart leads him. He gains life understandings as the threat of Viet Nam’s draft forces other young men into life-altering choices. The unavoidable outcome is love lost and his life’s course changed when he is swallowed by U. S. Army aviation.

John R. Gould has been a pilot for over forty- five years. He enjoys writing stories that all pilots share. His collection is based upon true experiences with real people. John is the founder of (Experimental Aircraft Association), EAA Ultralight Chapter 110 Inc. and President of Flying Aces Inc. He flies both Cessna and light-sport aircraft.
