I can still remember it as a "production system" was introduced at my first employer. It was the system which was introduced in "Lean production" in the company. Miles away from today's production systems. After today's perspective, it was just a matter of giving the child a name, and to provide customers and visitors something that did not exist in reality. Today one would say anything just "Show Program for Customer"! No, which such a procedure we will get no additional success. We don´t need things like that. We need tools with a great guarantee for success.

So is in awesome shape, are the production systems in the 1990 years, mainly due to the immense growth of Toyota. Suddenly, "TPS" - Toyota Production System " were on everyone's lips. Many wanted to imitate Toyota! How many have succeeded only partially, we leave here once standing in the room.

So it does not seem to be so simple, Production Systems to copy 1:1 and then apply in their own company. Quite as simple as it is not; for there are countless examples, ie companies where this is not done.
