The Halal Development Framework, Certification Processes and Its Market Value: A Case of Pulau Pinang (Penang), Malaysia

Halal have become an emerging economy due to the increasing Muslims population around the world. This is also supported by the increasing awareness of Halal product among the non-Muslims communities. Even so, there is little study have been made on the Halal industry namely the Halal development framework, the certification processes and the market value. As such, this paper proposes to provide information on the Halal development framework, certification processes and the market value in Pulau Pinang (Penang), Malaysia.
