Description

After the tragic murder of his young wife and his parents, a young Sioux Indian leaves the Reservation forever where he arrives on the east coast to start a new life amid racism, violence and a drive to live his life that leads him to the Oval Office.
Several years past after arriving on the east coast and Uly Wheeler finds work but falls victim to a gang of violent rednecks during a hunting trip where he ends up fighting for his life from multiple wounds. After recovery, Uly relocates south to Florida where he starts over-again. Down on his luck and mostly jobless, Uly joins the Navy's Hospital Corpsman where he volunteers for the combat medic program. Stationed on the modern aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, Uly is deployed when Operation Desert Storm is ordered by the president. During the counterattack at the battle of Khafji, Uly is seriously wounded protecting a wounded Marine with his own body against a mortar explosion. Paralyzed from the waist down, Uly's military career is cut short but not without first being awarded the Medal of Honor by a grateful president. Medically discharged from the military, Uly’s suffering continues through depression, alcoholism and unemployment until Uly's best friend convinces him to run for Mayor in the small town of Akalew. In a landslide election, Uly is thrust into the mayor’s seat that becomes the pivotal point in Uly's rehabilitation to a better way of life in politics that ultimately leads him to the Oval Office.
