Herbert North has gotten real good at getting on the bad side of most people. He has a few redeeming qualities—at times, if one is drunk enough, he’s mildly funny—but perhaps the best thing anyone can say about him is this:

Fortunately for Herbert, Cairn is a village of new beginnings. If he’s looking to start over, to do away with some of his more unsavory qualities, there’s no better a place. Because the queen there in her kingdom of filth is forgiving—and eager to add more to her squalid court.
