A New Testament: A Short Story from the Realm of the Gods

In a distant future, the gods feud endlessly, asking absolute obedience from their subjects. Their power is undeniable, their cruelty beyond measure. But the gods have not bred independent thought out of humanity, at least not yet. A soldier asks himself the old questions about right and wrong as he witnesses the evil done on the direct orders of his god. He dares to question what must never be questioned.
