Description
Gefion is a Norse goddess of fertility, and is
associated with the plow.

Once Gefion disguised herself as a beggar and
went to Gylfe, king of Sweden, Here she asked
king Gylfe to give her some land. The king told her
that she could have as much land as she could
plow in one day, and one night.

Gefion used her four sons, who were huge as oxes,
and had a Jotun(giant) as father. Gefion hitched
the oxens to a plow and proceeded to cut deeply
into the land of Sweden. Then she and the oxen
towered the soil plowed, into the sea
That soil it is now known as the island of Sealand,
today part of Denmark.

Kaj Pindal took this great Norse Saga about the
creation of Sealand and made into a picture book
that shows how Sealand got where it is today, in
the way that everybody understand.

Unlike that stupid story about the Iceage
