Taco! Taco! : Tex-Mex is a short primer book on making tacos for young children, true beginning readers, and anyone who loves tacos! Illustrations allow young children to identify and learn ingredients and the simple words allow the youngest readers to read along. In addition, Taco! Taco! is a great introduction to cooking terms like chop, slice, and dice!

The book can even be used as a guide while cooking together: parents (or older children) do the work, the new reader reads the simple text on each page (“chop tomato!”) and the little pre-reader can look at the illustrations, which also show what to do with action marks.
