Psalm 51 -- David Teaches us the Prayer of a Forgiven Sinner

King David, the man who showed great faith in God when he killed Goliath, was a man the entire nation of Israel looked up to. Yet he fell into the terrible sins of lust, adultery, and murder. He had to be confronted by the prophet Nathan before he turned to God and confessed his sins. But when he did, he wrote a magnificent psalm which explains the forgiveness and mercy that comes to sinners who turn to God. A study of Psalm 51 will strengthen our faith and increase our appreciation for the love God has for us in Christ.
