Description
"The Archer'" is the first novel of a new action packed saga of medieval fiction set in England during the days of the crusades. In this first novel of the saga the survivors of a company of English archers attempt to fight their way back to England from the failing Third Crusade despite heavy casualties, treacherous churchmen, and slave taking Islamic pirates.
"The Archer's Castle" is the second novel in the saga. William, his brother Thomas, and William's infant son George return to England with the surviving archers and become embroiled in a battle with the Earl of Cornwall.
"The Archer's Return" is the third novel in the series. William leaves his son George and his brother Thomas in England and returns to the Holy Land with a large company of newly recruited archers - to earn money by helping Christian and Jewish refugees escape from the victorious Saracens.
The fourth novel in "The Archer" saga is "The Archer's War." War breaks out between William and Lord Cornell when Cornell attempts to invade Cornwall. A fifth novel in the saga tells the story of the beginning of one of the world's most fearsome fighting forces as the men of Company of Archers become the first Marines - fighting men trained to fight on both land and sea. In the Sixth novel William's priestly brother Thomas finds himself in the midst of treachery and war involving the crusaders.
Martin Archer is also the author of the exciting action packed novels of his acclaimed "Soldiers and Marines" saga. They follow the exciting war experiences of a young front line soldier who decides to stay on active duty and ends up fighting in subsequent wars from Vietnam to the Middle East.
