She captivates him with her allure, but in the end only a true love cast from this romantic place can save them both.
‘The Chapel Bell,’ is set in Capri, Italy. A writer comes to the beautiful island to write a new book, but when he stays at a small hotel, he meets a girl named Giovanna who falls in love with him. He is unsure if he really loves her, but a visit to a small chapel on the hillside may be just what makes the difference to his life.
‘An Elephant’s Tail,’ is a charming story about a man who travels to a vineyard in South Africa, to assess the vintages on behalf of his company. He meets the lady who owns the winery, along with a family of pet elephants, then gradually becomes captivated with her and the life she has there. They both discover love and realise that it is never too late in life to find it.
‘Raindrops And Reminiscence,’ is an enchanting story about a meandering steam train journey through America, set in the mid 1930s. The train is on its way from Washington, D.C. to San Francisco. Onboard is someone on their way home to retire after many years selling the gift of time across the country. Old friends and lost moments are stops along the way, as the fall colours enrich softly each day. ‘Sunset Dreamer,’ is a story about making a dream come true. A young man escapes the city in India for the simple life in the Maldives. He sails the long trip and it costs him almost all of his money, but it is worth it when he arrives. He discovers a life of freedom in paradise and an unexpected love along the way.
‘The Boardwalk Blossom,’ is set in Charleston, South Carolina, USA. When a storm makes an unexpected stop for a retired man sailing the coastline of America, he stays at a hotel in the old part of town and discovers a mysterious woman from a portrait who does not really exist, only perhaps in a dream. She vanished in the 1950s and her disappearance remains a mystery to all, except for one.
‘Maple Coloured Memories,’ is set in the autumn of New England. A successful businessman who feels lost, returns to his home town for the first time in twenty years. He is unsure what he will find there, but the hope of coming home and the offer of a new love from an old friend, may be all he really dreams of to complete his life.
