I offered up my virginity as a sympathy card. I’m sure that’s enough for you to work out the kind of screwed up person I already was at sixteen.
Believe me, things didn’t get any better. There’s that whole argument about suicide being the easy way out. The truth is I’m terrified. I’m not even sure I’m brave enough, but I’ve got to decide. Because this…this living in limbo is killing me anyway.

So this is my diary, it begins somewhere in the middle and gets messier towards my twenty-fifth birthday. Here I am sitting – again – on my bathroom floor. The pills are in the drawer within arm's reach. So what am I going to do about it?

This dual perspective story follows Nina's life as read by Alex as he tries to find out once and for all if she ever did love him.
