In 2012, U.S. Air Force Captain John Peltier left his dream job flying F-15Es for his other dream of sailing around South America, which he felt slowly slipping through his fingers with each passing day. He bought a boat, outfitted it for the long journey ahead, sold or donated most of his belongings, and sailed south into the Atlantic without much sailing experience. Unfortunately a family emergency brought him home after eight months and 2,000 miles sailed. While the boat stayed in limbo on the island of St. Kitts, he compiled his more interesting journal entries and photographs into this documentary of his travels to the West Indies, awaiting his chance to return to the voyage.
