Lacey Lane thinks her future is coming up aces - she's helping one of the world's greatest scientific minds find the cure for cancer. *All* the cancers. They're going to save the world. And more importantly, they're going to be famous. Not bad for a teenage runaway.

Except it turns out the good doctor might not have been entirely honest about what she's cooking up in her dirty little lab. Lacey may very well indeed end up famous, but not so much for helping to save the world as helping to end it.
