Description

A few great authors have correctly predicted the future. H. G. Wells predicted the laser, the atomic bomb, tanks, aircraft and even cell phones. Jules Verne predicted submarines, newscasts, solar sails, space capsules, and videoconferencing. Both were years ahead of their time. Until now, however, very few authors have correctly predicted our present future. Both George Orwell’s “1984” and Ray Bradbury’s “Fahrenheit 451”, although best sellers, failed.
By comparison, this book takes place fifteen years in the future as seen through eyes of an 18 year old boy two months away from high school graduation. It succeeds where Orwell and Bradbury failed for it uses the science available to Verne and Wells. Our hero lives in a world which believes that carbon taxes and developing renewable energy sources will reduce global warming. The reality is much different and his future is very real. What follows is based entirely on the rules, regulations, and government predictions on warming now in place worldwide. Where previous generations have always had it better than the generation before, allowing for H. G. Wells and Jules Verne to predict a better world, when things get worse it will be George Orwell’s and Ray Bradbury’s whose predictions come true. World overpopulation is about to meet worldwide drought. What happens then?
This is not a book about global warming. It’s about what comes with it. While our hero is just trying to find a job in a world of dying livestock, crop failures, falling water tables, acid rain, fracking, and renewable energies requiring more energy to create than they produce, something else is happening – Something not talked about and it becomes a brutal reality when a savage murder takes place in his neighborhood. Although only vaguely familiar with the true nature of the crime, in just three months he won’t just be fighting for a job. He’ll be fighting for his very life in the greatest crisis in the history of mankind.
In this story the current drought has reached its peak. It’s not the next hundred years of global warming we have to worry about. It’s the next fifteen. It won’t be the temperature that’s in crisis. It will the grocery store shelves. What you’re about to read will happen in your lifetime. It is inevitable.
Most climate debate centers around what man can do or not do and ignores what Nature can, and will, do. If history repeats itself, and the odds are 99.9% it will, then a new, bloodthirsty horror is about to be unleashed upon humanity. In fact, it's already here. It's just waiting to make the news and, when it does, there will be another run on stores for guns and ammunition. Only this time they will be used. Inevitably, Nature has its own tried and proven solution for population control. Life on Earth is expendable. This book includes the new terror Nature will produce. It’s the first, and only, book to do so.
Although the author actually has a 4.5 star Amazon rating, this book was anonymously written. It had to be because this book and whoever wrote it must be stamped out or world panic will follow once its existence is revealed. It must be dismissed by the experts as a “million to one” possibility. Yet, even if the odds of it happening were divided by one million, it would still happen in the next fifteen years over one thousand times.
So grab your gun and a full clip and hang on for the ride because it’s going to be one of sheer terror. Man’s worst nightmare is about to unfold as reality. Those who gave us zombie movies and apocalypse films will look like the Jules Vern’s and H. G. Wells of their time fifteen years from now. The magic screen of their imagination will become our reality. Meet the monster Nature has planned for us and this boy’s life.
You can either read about it now before it happens or live it when it does because, either way, you will be here for it.
