Star Trip: The Journey of North Star

As smart phones evolve and man’s longevity increases, Space Command makes the decision to send a group of voyagers on an 18 year, one-way trip to a distant star to colonize a habitable planet. Named Emerald because of its green coloration, its gravity, water, and atmosphere are nearly identical to earth. Their first task is to solve an intriguing mystery, evolution on the planet had stopped or at least stalled and no one could figure out why.

As they approach Emerald, a coded message from earth informs them that senior members of Space Command want to send a probe back in time to save the Mars Colony that had collapsed forty years ago, killing a million people and setting space exploration back. Shortly after receiving the message, the crew loses contact with Earth and then find that the basic research on Emerald was already done. For humans, the planet would never be habitable.

Believing that something disastrous has happened on earth and feeling out of the current timeline, the ship and crew return to earth. There they find an earth completely changed with a new and different history and limited diversity. Vowing to fix the timeline and return things to normal, the ship embarks on a time travel trip to the past with no way to return.

Their trip to the past is interrupted by a powerful adversary who throws them further back in time. Arriving during the Roman Empire, where they will have to wait centuries to fix the time line and return things to normal. Finding a solution for the future and meeting native Americans and Europeans, they set out developing a community that will fix the time line far in the future.
