This graphic novel is a stand-alone story: the further adventures of Modo, star of The Hunchback Assignments novels. He's been trained by the British to be a secret agent and is a hunchback with a special ability: he can change his shape to look like other people. He's awesome. And we're not just saying that! When Modo and Octavia, two British agents on a "holiday" arrive at Ember's End they're looking for one thing: money. They're hired as deputees and almost immediately are attacked by group of mercenaries who have come to steal an amazing device from the heart of the town.

Arthur Slade has published seventeen novels for young readers including The Hunchback Assignments and Dust, winner of the Governor General's Award for Children's Literature.

Christopher Steininger has drawn comics like Worlds of Dungeons and Dragons, done concept art for games such as Spec Ops: The Line and is currently working on the DeadHeaven comic series and doing storyboards on Marvel's Avengers Assemble.
