The Mechanical Dove is a darkly sensual and unsettling story of the changes a young woman must undergo to unearth her true strength.

When Sarah Dulton is fleeing her repressive home to be with the man she loves, she suffers a terrible accident. Instead of dying she is secretly remade by her scientist lover using fantastical machinery. Sarah slowly adjusts to being half woman/half machine, and must decide for herself, against all objections from most of those around her, that she is in fact fully whole and fully alive.
