Twins Allie and Mistral share a separation through the foster system all the harder. The "Sisters of Shadow and Moonlight" series follows the sisters as they grow up and become fully immersed in a world of werewolves, demons, and supernatural powers. Urban fantasy lovers will appreciate the winks and nods to other writers in the genre (mmm...barbecue sauce). For new new fans this is a great introduction, and a fantastic chance to discovery a new writer at the beginning of her publishing career.

This is an intense book that will pull you into the world of all things Paranormal and leave you wanting more. It's a great book to start the series and the author leaves you on the last page wishing there was more to the book because you didn't want to lose any of the characters. Let me start out by saying that this is not my preferred genre. I never would have read this style of writing on my own. That being said... I'm completely hooked! Much to my shock, I was sucked into this novel upon reading the first page. Having just lost my own sister, a lot of this book hits very close to home. I got quite attached to the characters right away. Formed alliances with some.. and hatred for others. The book is so very descriptive, you cant help but picture every detail and feel every emotion the author conveys. I laughed and cried countless times. Chapters so heart wrenching, I thought I was dying right along with the characters. Passages so endearing and comical, I thought I was bickering with my own siblings. Love scenes are vivid and beautifully descriptive without being vulgar or distasteful. This author has power. She makes you feel every emotion you can think off, all thru the eyes of very complex and well developed characters. This novel will change your views of gods and monsters alike. Sometimes things arent always what they seem. I can't wait for the next installment in this series. Fantastic read. I hung on every chapter.
