I’ve had about as many jobs as anyone on the planet.

I’ve been a teacher. I’ve been a tutor. I’ve been a writer. I’ve been an editor. I’ve been an entrepreneur. And these are just the jobs I liked!

I’ve also hand plenty of jobs I HATED: salesperson, assistant, sandwich artist (really), roofer…

So please believe me when I tell you that I really, really, REALLY know what it’s like to work a job I hated and even making enough money to live on.

There are careers out there for everyone. There are careers that let you apply your skills and follow your passions. There are careers out there that line up with your values and let you pursue the things that are important to you.

I have the least marketable degrees in existence (poetry & philosophy). So I know: it’s hard to get jobs with irrelevant degrees and no experience.
