The X-Internet Platform (X-Internet Series)

In 1995 MIT’s Nicholas Negroponte talked about an Internet that “pervades every aspect of our lives”. The executable Internet goes a long way towards achieving this. In 2000, Forrester Research’s George Colony invented the term “X Internet”, which is actually composed of two components: the executable Internet and the extended Internet. X Internet fundamentally alters the software and Internet landscapes by blurring the distinction between the two, both online and off, finally leading us into the era of intelligent machines.
