This play is designed for Black Box it is designed to be a multimedia sensation. The concept behind the play revolves around the threshold of how much loss one man can take, what is the boundary or limit of pain one man can take. We all have limits. What can a feeling of absolute hopelessness do to us?
All stories are either lessons or warnings. I consider this allegorical production to be a warning. Life is so precious and the bonds that life allows us to make with other are sacred, when these bonds are abruptly cut, in the dying words of Vincent Vangouh , “the pain will last foreverâ€. The play itself was carefully constructed as a short, but one with impact and strives to give a master lesson to the reader or observer.
Victims and victors aren't we all, but it is the story we tell ourselves that become our truths.
It is my hope that precious things run, will leave an impact on you. It is deeply personal, I am a trauma survivor, and in my life though well adjusted and a loving and kind individual I can in certain moments look back and whisper in my mind, “The pain will last foreverâ€.
