The Absolute I AM

On March 25, 2007, the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam attacked the Colombo International Airport. Rosanna and other cabin crewmembers of CX709 experienced a moment of life and death... After returning to the company, she was faced with the coldness and untrusting attitude of certain members of management. On top of that, a month after returning to work, in an afternoon in London, the management questioned her again about her two-week sick leave that was certified by doctor. She had already come off medication, but that night, she took triple the amount of anti-depressant prescribed by Dr. Wendy Lo. She was still unable to sleep and the scenes of the terrorist attack kept looping in her head. After that, her emotions crashed, followed by depression and indulgence.
However, “regression” and “darkness did not “defeat” her completely. To the contrary, the opposite of “regression” is “improvement.” On her way towards “positivity” and “light,” she learnt to “surpass oneself” and to look at the world and all that is around her from another point of view.
Today, Rosanna knows that the near-death experience is the most inspiring turning point of her life.
