Keys of Yama: Stepping beyond the threshold of death

Ever since Joshua’s fiancé died in a car accident, he has been countering the emptiness inside with the vexing void of altitude, climbing the world’s highest mountains with reckless abandon.

During a winter attempt on K2 he is rescued from an avalanche and taken to a cave where generations of monks have been guarding the keys to conquer death for almost three millennia. A vicious attack on the cave by Jihadis force Joshua and Electa, the Master's young female protégé, to escape with the scroll containing the keys, and propels them on a tumultuous journey back to civilization.

Unless they succeed, these crucial insights, intended to propel humankind beyond mortality, will be lost to the world forever.
