Vodun (La' Femme Fatale' Publishing ): Chain of Souls

Our story begins on the border of Ghana and Togo in 1752, thousands of Vodun (Voodoo) followers gather for a spectacular seven-day celebration called Kokuzahn, honoring their deity, Flimani Koku, the ancient warrior god. Vodun is considered to be the first religion; its roots date back six thousand years originating in West Africa. Koku guaranteed protection in combat and invincibility in battle. Vodun was actively suppressed during colonial times. Many Priests and Priestesses were either killed or imprisoned. When High Priestess Sela Atsupki is murdered along with 18 of her priestesses, the betrayal unleashed the curse that transcended time.
This suspenseful thriller surrounds Nina James, a young music pop artist whose world is torn apart when horrifying forces fight for control of her life and she is forced to witness her friends and love ones murdered one by one. Possessed by unseen forces, Nina is enticed by both sides until she can’t tell which is good and which is evil, she needed answers on why her. Nina being the last descendant of the high priestess must figure out the messages being sent to her in dreams before it’s too late. Nina turned to the only one she could trust, her great-grand mother Mama Zula, where she is given glues to what she is.
