A Walk in the Woods: a short story

A self-described city girl, Joanna was looking for adventure when she and her best friend Kate embarked on a trip to South America. But after a stifling cruise, where they found themselves surrounded by retirees, Joanna jumped at the chance to explore the Argentinian forest and mountains outside of the sleepy frontier town of El Chalten. Paired up with the handsome but unapproachable guide Ben, Joanna's trek in the woods becomes more of an adventure than she ever could have imagined.
