Rebecca Barber has had enough of psychos. After losing her job because of one of them, she’s determined to return home and seek a life of normalcy, even if it means incorporating herself into her mother’s ideal of a perfect family. But perfection comes in another form: her step-brother, Jesse Cummings, whose dark past and mysterious present attract Rebecca like a moth to a flame. She’s terrified of getting involved, of doing the wrong thing, but Jesse is just so damn delectable.

Rebecca resolves to avoid him, but buckles under the pressure of her mother’s family ideals and is drawn into the seedy underworld which is his life. The closer she gets, the more her feelings grow, especially when Jesse shows her what real passion feels like. And just when she thinks things can’t get any more complicated, that past, that real psycho, comes back to show her the meaning of fear.
